Over 50,000 Redditors participated in the online survey to finally answer the question God himself shrugged at: Who is everyone’s’ favourite Pokemon? With over 800 of the little buggers running around, it seems that the expression “Every Pokemon is someone’s favourite,” a common phrase thrown around the community, does make a great deal of sense. We’ve been playing these games …

You can’t blame most people for not having played The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. The original Gameboy adventure launched all the way back in 1993, garnering a cult following since thanks to its weird character inclusions from across the Nintendo spectrum and quirky tone. It’s a game that would be tough to play in its original form today, which …

A monumental game on any level, any new Legend of Zelda title following in the footsteps of Breath of the Wild is going to have the mother of all bars to reach, let alone surpass. So instead of going in that direction, Nintendo is cracking out a sequel that’ll combine even more mad ideas into a brand new adventure.

During its E3 Direct, Nintendo announced that it had delayed its impending social simulator Animal Crossing: New Horizons to 2020. Fans of the series weren’t actually too upset from what I’ve seen, especially when Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser explained that the company wanted to avoid excessive crunch, and bring a bit of work-life balance to Nintendo employee’s lives.

E3 2019: Luigi’s Mansion 3 is very simple, but also incredibly delightful

With the Switch, Nintendo can reintroduce many of their great but unappreciated franchises to a new audience. It's perhaps why re-releases of games like Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker have found new life on the console, after being relegated to hardware that hardly captivated mass audiences. It's part of the reason why sequels to established franchises can feel so fresh, and Luigi's Mansion 3 is no exception. There are small refinements here and there, but so far this sequel looks and feels like more of what made the previous two titles so great, and a perfect starting point for those unfamiliar with it.

The one type of species that I love seeing the most of in Pokémon? Doggos! With hundreds of breeds out there, the canine gold mine for Pokémon runs deep indeed. There’s critters like Snubull and Arcanine, Herdier and Frufrou. Houndou and Poochyena. Now, there’s a new pedigree being added to the roster of Pokémon Sword and Shield. Say hello, to Yamper.

E3 2019: Pokémon Sword and Shield brings back Gyms, but they’re not that different

Perhaps the first thing that stuck me during my brief time with Pokémon Sword and Shield was just how familiar it felt. As someone who only recently started playing modern mainline entries such as X and Y, I was expecting Sword and Shield to immediately feel different from the formula Nintendo had established on 3DS. Not radically different, but unique in a way that made it appearance on a home console again feel special. Based on the single gym I got hands-on time with, that might not be in Sword and Shield's mission statement.
