Some games are lined up for multiple awards, such as the superb Hades, the spectacular Ghost of Tsushima, and my favourite golf game, The Last of Us Part II. This year’s breakout hits also include Fall Guys and Among Us, and there’s nothing sus about that. Here’s the full list of nominees for the show, which will be livestreamed on December 10.

Logitech’s looking to throw its own hat in the ring with its Logitech G Pro X Superlight. I’ve been playing with it, and the stats don’t lie: It is absurdly light, and it does so without a mouse chassis that resembles a cheese grater.

Whenever something is added to Bungie’s sprawling cosmic sandbox, something else inevitably breaks, usually to hilarious effect. Players are quick to pounce on exploits in Destiny 2, and now that the Beyond Light expansion has launched they’ve discovered the biggest one yet. One of the major new additions from the expansion is a new Guardian subclass that uses Stasis energy to create a different experience.

Cyberpunk 2077 looks…okay on Xbox One X! It had all the visual hallmarks of this current generation of gaming, but it didn’t run so good and there were some noticeable frame-rate drops in the game which mostly ran at 30 frames per second. On the Xbox Series X, there’s a more stable game under the hood. It’s worth noting that this version running on the Xbox Series X is Cyberpunk 2077 without any console next-gen upgrades, so it’ll be interesting to see how the game evolves after those features are added.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s switch to turn-based RPG combat and team-based tactics may bite off more than it can chew thanks to terrible difficulty spikes and ill-defined character progression, but it’s still a breath of fresh air for the series. Ichiban Kasuga and his pals are an entertaining lot, the game has plenty of style, and even though the combat devolves into an ungodly grind, it’s a flashy new start to one of Sega’s best franchises.

For the last couple of years, Microsoft has been a bit of a punching bag when it comes to talking about console-exclusive games. Sony has…all of this, Nintendo’s got an undeniable talent for selling you the same game several times over multiple generations and Microsoft has a world premiere of a Halo Infinite delay.

Just like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has its own lengthy list of bastards to plunge a hidden-dagger into, one by one. Known simply as The Order, the age-old enemies of the Assassins brotherhood is scattered throughout England and other regions. Some of these people you’ll meet during missions. And murder. Others you’ll encounter after uncovering a few clues.
