High adventure on the high seas in the waning days of piracy, when men were men, and the best pirates were...women?

Apex Legends is the newest Battle Royale game on the block, and it’s one that’s proving to be popular enough to make a small dent in Fortnite’s following. It doesn’t stray too far from established Battle Royale formula, but if there’s one thing that it does that’s universally acclaimed, it’s the genius ping system. It's now in Fortnite.

Skull and Bones ramps up the speed and action to its sea-based combat, which makes it skirmishes on the high seas incredibly engrossing.

Sea of Thieves makes a good first impression with a gorgeous open ocean for you to explore and captivating sailing mechanics. But it's a trick that's short-lived, with its barebones content ringing at the door sooner than you can say Davy Jones.

Skull and Bones as a multiplayer game probably doesn’t sound like an enticing day one buy on its own. Fortunately, it’ll have a proper single-player campaign on launch according to PC Gamer.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is a good game, but it’s one that shipped with almost innumerable problems, not least of which was wonky animations, dead eyes and plasticine faces. Those have been fixed - but not for pirates.

Over at CinemaCon, Disney decided to give the folks over in attendance a sneak peek at the fleek flick. And by sneak peak, I mean the entire movie. No vertical slices of hand-picked action. Reactions afterwards were fairly positive, with most people really really liking Johnny Depp’s performance this time around and Javier Bardem’s utterly creepy Capitan Salazar.
