Sony’s PlayStation 5 may just be the most millennial console ever, because in true fashion it looks like the biggest gun in its holster is the ability to give you games right now. Solid State Drives will drive the next generation forward, allowing for more complex and resource-heavy games to load quicker than the signal your butt sends to your butt when you realise that that fart you just let rip wasn’t gaseous in nature.

On the eve of a new generation of consoles, the biggest names in the industry are keeping their cards close to their chest, focusing on existing games and preparing to wow audiences the year after instead. That doesn’t mean that E3 2019 was a wash. In fact, it still had some great moments and reveals, all of which deserve to be celebrated. Here’s a look at ten of our favourites.

E3 is still important. It’s still an annual tradition, an event that needs to be kept alive as it creates a buzz that few other conventions can hope to match. In recent years, the show has attempted to grow with the times, opening up its doors and allowing more of the public in so that it can continue to remain relevant.
