Monster Hunter World also has a firm release date now, as Capcom once again saves the usually barren month of January from becoming too dry. You’ll be slaying beasts on January 26. You might even be doing so with the sexy new limited edition PlayStation 4 that was revealed.

Zen Studios made a name for themselves on ye olde Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with Pinball FX2, a platform for new themed tables which quickly made their way onto Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as they grew their library of available ball-whackers. It’s time for an upgrade though, as Zen Studios prepares to unleash Pinball FX3. Which will be out on September 26, as if the month ahead wasn’t crazy enough already. Here’s a trailer for it.

Open-world racer The Crew 2 is out on March 16 next year

Ubisoft’s got a much-improved sequel to The Crew popping up in 2018, a successor in the high-octane genre that has realised that nobody wants to have some balmy story of revenge and redemption nipping on their exhaust pipe when they take a corner at a ludicrous speed. The Crew 2 is skipping that nonsense, focusing rather on the actual thrill of speed and the pure joy of unbridled engine power whether it be on land, sea or in the air.

If you’re a nameless henchman who happens to stumble into the path of a certain emoji-faced killer in RUINER, then yes. Things can and definitely will get much worse for you. I’ve been following RUINER since I first glimpsed it at the gloriously gory Devolver Digital press conference from E3, and as the official president of all things twin-stick shootery I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far. Here’s the latest trailer of RUINER in action, as well as a few new screens to tide you over until it releases next month.

In my hubris regarding the release date of Gran Turismo Sport, I was utterly convinced that the game was going to be a 2018 release at best and had staked my prized headwear on the line as a lunchtime snack should I be wrong. I was wrong. Damn wrong, because Sony has confirmed that the hyper-real simulator will be out on October 17. Here’s a celebratory trailer while I chew on some wool that has been seasoned with Sriracha sauce and herbs.

Announced earlier in the year, fans have been waiting for a local release date and pricing on the SNES Mici Classic Console. Here it is, according to Raru: September 29, for 1249 of your Randelas. That’s a tad bit pricier than the NES Mini Classic, although you know exactly who to blame for it.

Night Trap is adding a survival mode and other new features for a Spring 2017 release

By Darryn Bonthuys

Night Trap might have been the logical end-point for horror movies, an interactive film that sold itself with scantily-clad ladies, quick jump-scares and gameplay that made no sense. Choose-your-own adventure but for nihilists, I’ll still give it points for its ballsiness. It’s making a comeback after 25 years, its original video content fully remastered.
