When Nintendo first showed off its handheld/home-console hybrid the Switch, one of the prominent games in its sizzle reel was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The aging, beloved open world RPG has at this point been ported to just about everything, but having it run on a handheld seemed like black magic. It’s out tomorrow, and yes, it’s…Skyrim, on the Switch.

You'll soon be able to experience Skyrim the way it was meant to be played: With a Dragonborn who is shivering to death and has an icicle lodged up his urethra from the naked elements around him.

Skyrim is the game that just seems to keep on giving. Originally released 472 years ago, the game has been released on every major gaming platform, along with graphing calculators, microwaves, etch-a-sketches, fridges, arch-lever files, combine harvesters and the back of cereal boxes. None of that may be true, but it certainly feels that way.

Are you ready to pay for mods for Skyrim and Fallout 4 (again)? If you are, rejoice, because Bethesda’s creation club has finally launched, letting you spend cash on new items, modes, worlds and other things that you’re probably used to getting free!
