Days Gone has a lot of story to experience, with each mission being like “an episode in a series”

Days Gone is Sons of Anarchy meets The Walking Dead, and I don’t want to live in a world where that crossover isn’t a good idea. In fact, that TV inspiration extends deep into the DNA of Days Gone, as Deacon’s various storylines had the potential to make for a messy narrative. Developer Sony Bend’s solution? Take a page out of the Netflix book, and learn how to chill with a story that can be recapped whenever you hit the pause screen.

Dreams may just be the biggest and most under the radar game that Sony has in the kitchen. Developer Media Molecules is working on what could be the most ambitious game of the PlayStation 4 era, and yet, hardly anyone even knows what it is. So…what is Dreams? On a basic level, it’s a suite of creative tools, designed in a way that gives you full access to an actual game engine’s worth of options.

Anthem, the new moderately multiplayer online shooter from RPG, hasn’t had the greatest start. While many are still enjoying the game, most seem to have found it devolve into a mindless repetitive grind after the highs of its initial impressions wear off. It’s had a rocky launch, and now sits as one of BioWare’s lowest-rated games.

When Sony tapped Jason Reitman, son of original director Ivan Reitman, to direct the new Ghostbusters sequel, it was expected there would be some nostalgia and reverence. I don't think anybody expected the level of nostalgia and reverence that the young filmmaker is employing on this sequel though.

It’s the calm before the storm. A strange lull in activity, that kicks off just before Microsoft and Sony take to the stage to announce that something new is on the way. While the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are far from dead (BRING OUT YER DEAD), their days are most definitely numbered. The time for a new console generation …

If the right studio came along, Demon’s Souls could finally get a current-gen remaster

That genre of darkly gothic action-RPGs where death is a constant and the world around you is almost as dangerous as Australia? None of that would have been possible were it not for one single game that paved the way forward for the Dark Souls trilogy, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and a whole host of inspired competition: Demon’s Souls.
