For the last couple of years, Microsoft has been a bit of a punching bag when it comes to talking about console-exclusive games. Sony has…all of this, Nintendo’s got an undeniable talent for selling you the same game several times over multiple generations and Microsoft has a world premiere of a Halo Infinite delay.

Two years after Bethesda revealed its new Starfield IP at E3, the one bit of concrete information that everyone has on the game is that it’s still going to be a while before we see it released. And I‘d bet easy money that it arrives long before Star Citizen finally does HEY-OH! The teaser seen so far has been just that: An absolute tease. Bethesda’s big cheese Todd Howard did have a few more details to share on the game in a recent interview with GameIndustry.biz (via Reddit) during the Brighton Digital Conference. Here’s a breakdown on what he had to say.

Space travel in Starfield is going to be “dangerous” says Bethesda’s Todd Howard

By Darryn Bonthuys

In video games, space travel is about as dangerous as a trip to the supermarket. A short trip to Mars in a personal jet keeps you safe from harm, with nary a hazard in your way as you jet down to mysterious new planets in the cosmos. Bethesda wants to change that approach somewhat with Starfield, and remind players that space is filled with all manner of galactic danger before you even set foot on a new world.

Welcome to E3 2019! Over here you’ll see Sony’s latest offerings and uh…Wait, they’re not here this year. Okay, moving on you can see what Microsoft has in store and oh wait they moved their operations to the Nokia theater across the road from us. Okay, not a train smash, but at least we’ve got EA to fill up the …
