The combination of puppets and the name Henson has traditionally evoked images of family-friendly singalong fare. That is most definitely not the case in Brian Henson's R-rated raunchy puppet buddy-cop comedy The Happytime Murders.

Weekend box office report 24 - 26 August 2018: Crazy Rich Asians continued its historic success in the best way possible as the Asian-led rom-com pulled off the new impossible by barely dropping in its second weekend. However, that same good fortune didn't make it to The Happytime Murders which was one of Melissa McCarthy's worst career openings.

Playing out like Who Framed Roger Rabbit? but with puppets instead of cartoons and a whole lot more swearing, The Happytime Murders is an upcoming "filthy comedy" that is "No Sesame. All Street."
