Destiny 2: Forsaken's Iron Banner event currently has some bounties which are easy enough to earn, while others have silly requirements that can only be met by players who jump into the Crucible and nothing else for a solid week. Bungie wants to change that.

Lord Saladin’s regular festival of kills for skills is back, and once again the tournament of Iron Lords has been tweaked and modified to be leaner, meaner and faster in its application of power and cunning in th era of Destiny 2: Forsaken.

In a livestream last night, Bungie detailed this new approach to weapons, that is aimed (Ha!) at making these tools of death feel a bit more special when one drops for you. Here’s the breakdown of what was revealed last night.

In Destiny 2: Forsaken, there’ll be plenty more Exotics to your arsenal, as a new trailer from Bungie showed off some of the most desirable weapons that Guardians will be after when year 2 of the game kicks off in September.

Destiny 2's Curse of Osiris was flashy, ambitious and ultimately shallow in its execution which resulted in the first substantial stab at expansive content for Bungie's sandbox being a complete letdown. It did have something extra to it though, if you were prepared to toil away for weeks: Lost Prophecy weapons.

The biggest draw of Collections in Destiny 2: Forsaken, is that it’ll enable players to grab whatever weapons, armor, ghosts, ships, sparrows, emblems or shaders they want, for a small price of course.

The flavour for the first Iron Banner of season 3 in Destiny 2? The usual round of Control (urgh, again?) with Lord Saladin offering his usual reputation reward engrams for wins as you rank up. This time though, the Iron Banner might just have the sexiest armour I’ve ever seen. Just look at this gear that is up for grabs
