Microsoft’s Xbox Division, as that platform has shied away from going mobile. For good reason as well, as Xboss Phil Spencer revealed.

With the Xbox Scorpio, they might have the right platform to do so as they peddle out a console that has enough hardware to give anyone a technolust boner. The plastic real estate of the Xbox One controller is also the right amount of space for a bit of extra detail, which has resulted in the latest design: The Recon Tech wireless controller. Xbox says that this controller was “inspired by military technology and performance patterns, exploring concepts stemming from combat armour and sci-fi mechanical gear.”

Turns out that making a classic game backwards compatible on Xbox One isn’t as easy as you think it is. Technical hurdles are one thing, but limitations and publisher relationships? That’s a whole other barrel of fun to navigate.
