The weird thing is, I could have sworn this game had already launched but I’ll admit that I’m probably thinking of Crucible. I’m most likely the only person that’s thought about Crucible in a while…

Many a video game eventually comes out of closed beta development. But have you ever heard of a game going back in after an official launch? Amazon's Crucible is making that move, thanks to tepid responses and a dwindling fanbase.
There are a bunch of issues present within Crucible currently, resulting in what should a perfectly alright game instead being a lacklustre experience that few fans want to stick around for. It could be better through, and developer Relentless Studios wants to take all the player feedback to heart as they buckle down and work on retuning Crucible so that it’s not only memorable, but actually enticing.
Perhaps that’s a little harsh but you have to admit that the similarities are pretty difficult to overlook.
Video games have and always will be dominated by giants. Provided that said corporation has the cash to splash on developing a new game and getting the word out via fancy marketing that dials the hype up to eleven, those massive brands with plenty of bank aren’t going to vanish overnight. And who has deeper pockets than Amazon at this point in human history?
The Destiny 2 multiplayer suite of PvP activity should be a highlight of the product that will create a foundation for the sequel once it goes free to play…right? Not exactly, because ever since it first launched in 2017, Destiny 2’s PvP has not been in a healthy shape. It’s not that it isn’t fun from time to time, but it seldom reaches the highs of Destiny 1’s amazing multiplayer. Time to change all that, as Bungie has some big plans for the future of its multiplayer mode.
