With the Season of the Forge kicking off next week, Destiny 2 is going to have a new trio of pinnacle weapons to grind for. Split across Crucible, Vanguard and Gambit activities, weapons like Redrix’s Claymore and Luna’s Howl are going to have a few rivals in the field.

Some people reckon that Destiny 2’s Time To Kill factor is perhaps too generous, that it needs to be shortened and reduced drastically. Well congrats folks, because that’s happening and I’m sitting here with my arms crossed in a huff about this.

What about the Guardian who likes to spend an afternoon in the Crucible however? Earning Valour and Glory points is fine and all, but you can only play so many games of Control in the Iron Banner before you yearn for something different. That something something will be called Breakthrough when Forsaken launches, a new PVP mode that is all about securing points and securing them.

On May 8, Destiny 2 kicks off a third season of action that has one goal in mind: pleasing its fans who are starving for new content. Here’s a quick rundown of just some of the content that Bungie was keen to show off.

Prepare for a leaner and much meaner Crucible experience, as Destiny 2 drastically reworks the experience with update 1.1.4.

Based off of constant feedback from Guardians, developer Bungie detailed some of those upcoming cha-cha-changes as the Crucible becomes “a faster, more dynamic, and more action-packed experience.”

With enough guns available to be confused for America’s lax laws on firearm ownership, you’d think that Destiny 2’s Crucible would be one component of developer Bungie’s sandbox that would draw little complaint from fans. You’d also be wrong, more wrong than you’d ever been on the wrongest day of your life when the only directions that you could turn in were left and wrong.
