I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a huge Marvel fangirl. I’m in love with their cinematic universe and I keep up with all the news. When it comes to DC… not so much. I’ll level with you. I hated Man of Steel, I’m not excited for Dawn of Justice and I haven’t seen The Flash or Arrow. So why am I writing this article?

Well, you’ve already heard from Kervyn who’s salivating at the thought of Legends of Tomorrow, and you’ve heard from Trevor who’s pretty much in the same state, so I thought I’d give these two new TV spots an outsider’s perspective.

First up is this character introduction short The Legend Begins: Hawkman

Okay fine, that’s looked semi-interesting, I’ll give them that. Next up, a promo short entitled Together

Yes okay I went to go watch all the other trailers after that one. Legends of Tomorrow looks intriguing, it’s got an interesting premise, a solid cast, plus yay Arthur Darvill! Look, if you’re already excited for Legends of Tomorrow, chances are these two new TV spots aren’t going to do add much either way. But, if you’re on the fence (or completely clueless) then this might pique your interest.

Damn, now I’m going to have to go catch up on the rest of the DC universe aren’t I?

Read  DC is just getting started with the Dark Multiverse, as more nightmarish Silver Age designs have been revealed for Sideways

Starring a bunch of people you already recognise like Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvil, Caity Lotz, Ciarra Renee, Franz Drameh, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller, Legends of Tomorrow starts airing on 21 January.
