Hold onto your red shirts and set pants-phazers to jizz!  The third and final trailer for JJ Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness has just warped in and it’s a doozy. Along with the shots of super-Sherlock Holmes laying the smack down on Earth that we’ve already seen, this new trailer unveils a ton of new footage, including Klingons!

So what are you waiting for? Beam that trailer up, Scotty!

In Summer 2013, director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes “Star Trek Into Darkness.”

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Please watch where you step, as I’m still trying to pick my jaw off the floor. Luckily, since talking is now rather difficult, I think Simon Pegg’s tweet last night about this final trailer, perfectly summarizes my thoughts on it:

“Last trailer. If this doesn’t convince you, nothing will.”

Star Trek Into Darkness will be hitting cinemas at Warp 9 on May 15, 2013.
