Last time I checked, we were already up to (…er… carry the one…) 5 TV spots for Man of Steel. And with the film’s release date approaching faster than a speeding bullet, we’ve now come to the mad rush, “throw everything at them” portion of the promo campaign.
So today we bring a mountain of Super-goodness, starting with the film’s action packed final trailer, then Henry Cavill’s Superman (natch), Russell Crowe’s Jor-El and Michael Shannon’s Zod all getting posterized, a couple of good vs evil opposing banners and a new featurette that gives us a glimpse behind the scenes of the much anticipated Superman reboot.
In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.
It is really hard to type this sentence with no brain. I had a brain, but that trailer just melted it to slag with its heat vision of awesomeness. Also, Superman punch! [email protected]#$ yeah!
Er… Yo, JJ Abrams! Did you make these lens-flaring posters? Either way, here are a couple of new banners apparently trying to fly right into each other’s faces!
And here’s a look behind the scenes at the cast and crew of Man of Steel revealing what Superman means to them.
The early buzz on Man of Steel has been deafening with its praise, and this may very well go on to becoming the biggest film of 2013, and thus far, none of the trailers, images, posters and featurette lead me to doubt that claim.
Man of Steel will leaping tall cinemas in a single bound on June 14, 2013, while it hits local theatres on June 28, 2013.
