Android’s getting a little Magic

Here’s something you may have missed, because somehow, in between all the public holidays we missed it too. Wizards of the Coast have gone and announced the next digital Magic the Gathering game, Duels of the Planeswalkers 2014. The good news, for those of you who hate all things Apple, is that the game will finally be coming to Android Tablets. Hooray!

“The Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers franchise has been engaging and exciting gamers since we launched in 2009 and continues to be the best way for new players to learn how to play Magic,” said Worth Wollpert, Executive Producer – Magic: The Gathering at Wizards of the Coast in a particularly fluff filled Press release “This year, with the addition of a fifth platform – Android – along with new features and a more focused integration between online and offline play, we continue to deliver a best-in-class gaming experience.”

Fluffy as it may be, he is actually right. there’s now better way, as a beginner, to learn the ins-and-outs of the paper-based Trading Card Game than through the digital game.

Here’s a teaser! Games out on PC,  XBLA, PSN, iOS and ANDROID! in the northern hemisphere’s Summer.
