BattleBlock Theatre is…just ridiculous

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played through The Behemoth’s excellent multiplayer side-scrolling hack-and-slash beat ‘em up, but it’s definitely more times than I have fingers. The same goes for their earlier, tough as nails shooter Alien Hominid. Their next game, BattleBlock Theatre – which has been in the making for quite some time – is finally out. Take a look at this ludicrous launch trailer to see what it’s all about.

Best of all, if you’re one of those people who own their previous games (Like I do!) You’ll unlock new things! Those who own the full versions of both BattleBlock Theater and Castle Crashers get to use the Castle Crashers Knight in BattleBlock Theatre. Plus, The "Can’t Stop Crying" DLC, which includes a new playable character called Hatty, unlocks in Castle Crashers for free, just for earning an achievement in the new game. Own Alien Hominid, and you’ll be able to play with the little yellow guy (not a euphemism for my junk, I swear!) in BattleBlock theatre.

This video explains it better. Maybe.

BattleBlock theatre is available RIGHT NOW on XBLA, for 1200 MS Space Bucks.

    fantastic trailer
    funny as
i think the longest time ive ever spent on a side scroller game, was however long my 10 coins lasted me at the magic company on metal slug.
but even so, that trailer made me want to play.
