Call of Duty: WWII is out early next month, and as its name implies it’s taking the series back to its World War 2 roots. While there appears to be a moratorium on the phrases “back to its roots” and “boots on the ground,” that’s precisely what you can expect from this year’s take on the perpetually popular shooter.
In an effort to think outside of the box, publishers have instead jumped straight back into them. Forza Motorsport7, WWE 2K17 and Shadow of War are just a few of the games squeezing fans for a few dollars more with their take on random loot which can be delivered via a credit card shortcut. Now, Call of Duty: WWII is hopping on that trend with “Zombie Crates”.
Players have grown comfortable with their gear in Destiny 2, resulting in plenty of detail that the engineers at Bungie can use to further fine-tune the experience. And yes, MIDA Multi-Tool is in the crosshairs. Will it get nerfed though? That sounds unlikely, as Bungie detailed how they’re keen on introducing alternatives to an otherwise solid gun.
The numbers are in, and a day after launch has resulted in Destiny 2 managing to pull in over one million Guardians daily. That’s eight days in which the Destiny 2 servers were fielding such massive numbers.
So what is Destiny 2? It’s a reminder. It’s a second chance at glory, where every complaint has been addressed and every issue has been fixed. It’s a new beginning, polished to an absurd degree and an example of what a sequel should be: Same same…but different.
The Call of Duty WWII beta is coming to PC later this month, so here's everything you need to know to get your boots ready to hit that ground.
Before Xur gets here, you’re going to need some cold hard currency with which to trade. You’re going to need some Legendary Shards. Normally obtainable from the dismantling of Legendary and Exotic-class weapons and armour, this new currency is in short supply. Unless you know a handy trick or two.
Have you ever double-checked your doors at night because something just didn’t feel secure? …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
