Weekend Box Office Report 19-21 May 2017: Alien: Covenant lands at the top of the heap but only with a disappointing debut

This week's new releases will be filling the cinema with horror. Between Alien: Covenant's return to gore, a look into the yuckiest fast-food franchise ever and two children's movies that will make parents recoil, there's something to torture everyone with this week.

A combination of Swiss artist HR. Geiger’s love of biomechanical penis terror and Ridley Scott’s talent for making the unknown horrifying, the Xenomorph at its most basic form is a lethal and deadly reminder that in space, no one can hear you scream.
