It’s official! Revealed on N7 day and reported two days later because I was firmly in weekend mode, Mass Effect’s original trilogy is finally getting the remaster treatment. As you probably guessed, Mass Effect Legendary Edition will combine the first three games into one solid package that also adds all the single-player DLC that each game came with, and it’ll be out next year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. And by virtue of backwards compatibility, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Anthem’s not dead yet! Easily the biggest flop in Bioware’s long history, the massively-hyped Anthem was all style and no real substance when it launched back in February 2019. Since then, it has been bled dry of players, gone back to the drawing board, and has had a small team of dedicated developers assigned to it while Bioware’s top brass forgot to look up the definition of sunk-cost fallacy.

Bioware Austin has detailed the latest changes for Anthem, such as increased loot drops, chasing after specific loot without “relying on randomness alone,” and a sense of accomplishment by making loot feel “exciting and more noticeable” when it drops.
