In Borderlands 3, the gang is finally going somewhere else. While Pandora still has its fair share of attractions where players can loot ‘n shoot to their heart’s content, the universe beyond that mudball includes a few new tourist traps. Gearbox dropped details on one of them yesterday, the Atlas Corporation stronghold known as Promethea where a certain fan favourite character from Telltale’s stab at a more narrative Borderlands adventure happens to currently reside. Check it out.

Between Far Cry: New Dawn and Rage 2, players have had plenty to choose from in terms of games that are like totes crazy. You can add Borderlands 3 to that list, as even with a few controversies behind centered on just one fella whose name rhymes with Candy Ditch Hoard, Borderlands 3 is still shaping up to look like a hell of a good time.

Gearbox is hosting a Borderlands 3 “Celebration of Togetherness.” Given the wording, along with recent comments about the game’s multiplayer, many assumed that it would be the announcement of cross-platform multiplayer coming to Gearbox’s impending looty-shooty sequel. Unfortunately, it’s not.

Borderlands 3 is coming in September, and – as with many of you – it’s easily one of the games I’m most looking forward to. Tomorrow, Gearbox is hosting a “Celebration of Togetherness,” online – with no information on just what that celebration might entail. There’s no word on a Twitch Stream, or anything resembling a physical event, just a generalised internet invitation to the “event.”

Look, all I’m saying is that in the circle of life, nature favours the fella with the best and biggest gun. Especially when nature throws acid-vomiting Skags, pesky Rakks and Threshers which want to rip your arms straight out of their sockets. Creatures which you can get a glimpse of in the first of several Borderlands 3 videos which feature Claptrap and Steve (HEYOH!) documenting what players can expect to run into when the sequel lands later this year.

E3 2019 may not have too many games to show off this year but…Actually wait that’s pretty much it. There’s no half-ass joke here folks. I’ve half-assed the half-assery. I’ve basically gone whole-ass. Anyway, As is the usual every year, the Game Critics Awards pop up and declare their best of show nominees, with a list of winners following shortly afterwards.

Borderlands 3 will be a 35 hour game of guns, madness and dubstep

Borderlands originale was an easy 10-hour game and triple that with its superb DLC, whereas Borderlands 2 gobbled up dozens of hours with a similar format, larger world and expansions threw fascinating new wrinkles into the game. How big is Borderlands 3 going to be then? Pretty big, I said while wiggling my eyebrows.

The leaked expansion to the looter shooter that came out roughly seven years ago launched last night and is completely free for all players until July 9th. With the ever-growing hype surrounding Borderlands 3 consuming a vast portion of many gamer’s brain stems, it seems like an almost obvious idea for 2K and Gearbox to return to the beloved second …
