Year two of Destiny 2 is looking to shake its content formula up a bit, with a new system for delivering content that is kind of the same but it isn’t. Same same, but different. But same. Called the Annual Pass, Bungie’s banking on this idea as a method to keep players invested emotionally and financially in Destiny 2 once Forsaken launches in September.
Here's one snippet of information to digest thanks to Bungie tweeting a tease: Destiny 2’s next big expansion is called Forsaken, and it looks like it’ll have a Fallen-centric theme to it as players return to The Reef.
Destiny 2 has not been nearly as successful as either Bungie or its overlords at Activision had hoped. While the core content was fun, the post-gamer…everything has been sorely lacking. While Activision and bungie have a plan for Destiny, it’s an open secret that the developer has been putting some of its resources into something new. This weekend, Bungie revealed that that something was being made in partnership with Chinese publisher Netease.
