Destiny 2 – Subclass unlock and activation guide

By Darryn Bonthuys

Destiny 2 has a new spin on familiar subclasses, provided that you can find them. With your Light stripped away and your mortality a little too certain, it’s not long before Guardians reconnect to the source of their power and tap into a new ability. For Warlocks, that’s the Dawnbreaker subclass, Titans get to become shield-slinging Sentinels and Hunters show off some acrobatics as Arcstriders. What of the Voidwalker, Stormcaller and other subclasses though? How do you unlock them?

Destiny 2 Guide – How do I get my damn Sparrow?

I’ve always thought that walking is for chumps…and chumpettes. I know it’s a miracle of biology that I can move one of my legs forward to propel my body in the direction that I’m intending to go in, but it’s so damn slow. Motorcycles though, are awesome. Motorcycles that defy gravity and don’t require a stop at the petrol station and can be teleported into my personal space, are even more awesome. Which is why Sparrows rule in Destiny 2. If you can grab that one is.

Destiny 2’s Graviton Lance Exotic doesn’t just look good…it sounds good too

I haven’t had a chance to handle too many of Destiny 2’s Exotics, but I can easily say that Graviton Lance may be the one gun that sounds the best in action. Here’s what it looks like and some of it’s lore that comes attached to it.

Look, if you’re going to mention that Destiny had no story, then here’s a stick and a dead horse for you to beat on. Like I’ve said before, Destiny did have a story. It just made the mistake of hosting its lore in a mobile app instead of the game itself. A couple of weeks ago at a Destiny 2 …

Destiny 2 – Here’s a look at the Vex-infested world of Nessus

Destiny 2’s new worlds are massive. You already saw a taste of the European Dead Zone, whose windings roads lead into Red Legion beachheads and Fallen scavenger camps. Here’s a look then at Nessus, a new planet found beyond the Reef. A minor planet of the Centaur class, the planetoid is filled with all manner of Vex threats and Red Legion reinforcements.

Destiny 2’s maximum light level will cap at 300

By Darryn Bonthuys

Your gear is what defines you in Destiny, as the hunt for Exotic and Legendary-status weapons increase the ever-important numbers associated with your character. In Destiny the first, Guardians could achieve a Light Level of 400 by the time that they’d accomplished everything possible in the Rise of Iron expansion. In Destiny 2, that number won’t be achievable. Not yet anyway.

Destiny 2’s first expansion may shed more light on Osiris

By Darryn Bonthuys

Like most things in Destiny, there was a story attached to Osiris. Lore detailing a wizard from the Last City who found himself exiled to Mercury and harboured a heck of a grudge to the Speaker. A story which could finally be expanded on in Destiny 2’s first expansion. That’s according to Kotaku’s sources, who say that the DLC will ship three months after Destiny 2 arrives on September 6.

How well does Destiny 2 run on a low-end PC? Quite decently actually

Beyond the community and people who’ll most likely introduce an exotic Pulse Rifle that fires off sound effects based on Randy “Macho Man” Savage ring interviews (OOOOH YEAAH I’VE BEEN TO THE DANGER ZONE FUNKY LIKE A MONKEY!), there’s the visual aspect of this sequel. Destiny 2 on PC is going to look mindblowing on PC when compared to even the latest consoles that Microsoft and Sony have trotted out. It’ll sear your retinas, provided that you have a PC that’s capable of rendering those graphics in the highest of fidelities. I don’t have such a PC.
