Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out towards the end of this month. Because the game ditches Season Passes and the regular cycle of DLC maps, the game’s co-marketing system, the PlayStation 4, no longer gets 30-day long exclusive access to those new maps and modes. Instead, a single part of the game’s Special Operations mode will be exclusive to the system for an entire year. The Horde-like survival sub-mode will be locked to PlayStation systems until it’s just about time for the PlayStation 5 to be out.

Gamescom was rad as all Hell. Personally, it was the first convention I’ve ever had the opportunity to cover, so setting aside the crippling anxiety that is flying overseas by yourself and staying in a stranger’s spare room (it was a really good price and he only stole one of my kidneys, very considerate) Gamescom was everything I wanted it …

Gamescom has Gamesgone and after a ferocious week of pushing through crowds, eating the cheapest food we could find and playing an unscrupulous amount of games, Sam and I sat down to shout very loudly at each other over what we thought was the dopest thing we saw all week. We took everything into account, both factoring in presentations and …

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is coming in October, and it’s shaping up to shake the formula a little. With a brand new engine (finally!), a bit more gravitas in the story-telling department, cross-platform multiplayer and a slew of interesting multiplayer modes, this could be a return to form for Infinity Ward. As announced last night, there’s an alpha of …
