A recent investor’s call revealed that Modern Warfare 2019 will have the most post-release DLC out of any game in the franchise

Love it or hate it, but if Activision can sell an entire Titanic’s worth of Call of Duty every single year then they must be doing something right. While the campaign mode of this year’s Modern Warfare wants to shine a serious light on war, it may be at odds with the multiplayer component of the package which is looking to emphasise a number of new factors within its DNA.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is looking to distance itself from previous gung-ho campaigns that saw you spending a weekend as an action hero and focusing more on the idea of war being a terrible thing, the multiplayer side of the equation might also have a few new tricks up its sleeves.

The fan favourite character will be back in action in the Call of Duty reboot and he’ll be bringing a some as yet unannounced character with him.

The fan favourite co-op mode from Modern Warfare 2 and 3 seems to be back with all kinds of bells and whistles to keep players involved.

This year’s multiplayer hook in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare goes by the name of Gunfight, a 2v2 mode that focuses on duos as they take each other on in what developer Infinity Ward calls “multi-round cage matches”.

While Modern Warfare brings back the campaign action with a story that is designed to make you feel when it hammers home the horrors of war, rumours say that this year’s take on Battle Royale is going to result in a BIG mode.
