Aquatic gameplay sounded okay, but didn't really sell me on the Civilization: Beyond Earth expansion, Rising Tide. But this new aspect of it sounds like a whole lot of strategic fun.

Civilization: Beyond Earth Rising Tide has overhauled the affinity system to include all new hybrid units that look rather cool. But it's the spy network that has me keen to secretly take over the world.

I don't really enjoy going to war in Civilization games, but maybe things will change with Rising Tide, or maybe I'll just intimidate everyone and never need to kill a single unit.
