I think we all have to accept that sooner or later, Game Streaming will be the future of how we play videogames. While the next generation of consoles will still use physical media and game installs, Google’s Stadia and Microsoft’s streaming technology xCloud show that we’re approaching a reality where everything we play is streamed from a server somewhere.

The leaked expansion to the looter shooter that came out roughly seven years ago launched last night and is completely free for all players until July 9th. With the ever-growing hype surrounding Borderlands 3 consuming a vast portion of many gamer’s brain stems, it seems like an almost obvious idea for 2K and Gearbox to return to the beloved second …

Don’t worry, Xbox Game Pass for PC isn’t limited in South Africa

By Geoffrey Tim

Xbox Game Pass is available on PC, and it’s an astounding bit of value, as I’ve already detailed. When I wrote about that, some people very helpfully pointed out that the list of games available to use in South Africa was limited, with just 63 of the 109 games available. Obviously, this would be a big problem, as Game Pass would become reduced value proposition. The one game I was most excited for, Metro Exodus, was not in the list of games available to Game Pass PC users in South Africa, which was upsetting. I did, however, notice that by searching for the game in the newly released Xbox App which acts as a hub for Game Pass on PC, I was able to download and install the game.

If there’s one other thing that tickled me though, it was the announcement of Game Pass for PC. Microsoft’s Game Pass is the existing service on console that allows subscribers to download and play any game from a library of hundreds of games. It’s exceptionally good value, especially because it comes with Microsoft’s first party games included on their date of release.

So where does DOOM Eternal go from here? If you’re Bethesda, the answer is obvious: More of the same, dialled up to 11 and a chance to flex your wings as the level design gives way to more open arenas in which to shed blood. All this, and some stunning new visual tech that makes DOOM Eternal look like a devilishly good time. Don’t just take my word for it! See for yourself in the trailer below that is ready to crack some skulls.

E3 2019 – Wolfenstein Youngblood is here to kick Nazi ass in a new trailer

By Darryn Bonthuys

in :  Gaming

BJ’s daughters Jess and Soph happen to have inherited a talent for killing Nazis, they’re on a mission to free Europe from the tyranny of the Axis forces and they’re looking to have a damn good time while doing it. It’s a massive departure from the more sombre attitude shown in previous Wolfenstein games, as this third chapter in the revived series focuses on co-op gameplay, wild action and some sweet synth music tracks straight out of the 1980s.
