Say the words “Unreal” and “Nreal” out loud and you’ll have figured out why lawyers are getting their briefcases in order.

In the lasciviously-titled document "Epic Games Store: Review of Performance and Strategy, October 25, 2019", it was revealed that the company paid Take Two Interactive and Gearbox a staggering $115 million for the timed exclusivity PC launch of Borderlands 3 on the Epic Games Store.

All those free games and store exclusives certainly rack up the bills so hopefully the next few years can help the Epic Game Store land back in the black.

In “this better not be an early April Fools joke” news, industry insider Jeff Grubb revealed on his Twitch show titled Jeff Grubb's Game Mess Show that an Alan Wake sequel is finally in development.

Epic Games is investing in beans. Magic beans! Beans shaped like vaguely humanoid creatures nut you really don’t want to see what the anatomy of these organisms looks like! Mediatonic’s Fall Guys took the world by storm last year, providing a perfect respite from everything else going on in the world at the time. A winner had emerged, and along with the best social media account in video games, Fall Guys hasn’t fallen off the map since it arrived initially as a PS Plus freebie.

Now all those PC players can finally understand how magical, whimsical, perplexing, and irritating this franchise is.

Over on the Epic Games Store, the annual slavings for savings sale has kicked off. Epic’s Holiday Sale includes a number of games well worth a recommendation, such as the delightful Immortals Fenyx Rising, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and yes Ubisoft I’ll take that pay-off in the mail.

Unfortunately it looks like those hoping the coronavirus would be a 2020 only problem will be sorely disappointed.
