I like to imagine that controlling Jason Voorhees is a dream for many a gamer. I’m getting older, I’m hating people younger than me now more than ever and burying a digital machete in their soft skulls is kind of cathartic on a digital level. Gun Media and developer Illfonic knows of this bloodlust, as they’ve announced that Friday The 13th: The Game will hit digital shelves on May 26 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Which is thirteen doubled, so I see what they did there.

America may still be in the tail end of Winter, but it appears the Paramount has decided to do some spring cleaning. The studio announced last night that it was completely scrapping its long-in-development Friday the 13th reboot, while it also pulled World War Z 2 off its release schedule.
