With Toy Fair 2020 around the corner, Hasbro is popping an early announcement, detailing how Tiger Electronics have been resurrected. Like the consoles of yesteryear, they’ll do what Tiger did best: Create cheap disposable gaming devices with easy controls, a decent battery life and hopefully they’ll be as durable as their predecessors, devices so rugged that not only could they survive a nuclear war but the arguably more destructive force that is a toddler whacking away at the console.

The Game Developers Conference, an annual gathering of game developers who cover the everything there is about making a video game in the modern age, won’t see team blue on the showfloor. Sony has been especially cautious in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, cancelling an appearance at PAX East (Where new The Last of Us Part II gameplay was scheduled to be shown) and now confirming via Games Industry that they’ll be skipping GDC as well lest PlayStation system architect Mark Cerny’s amazingly soothing voice be at risk before he has a chance to show off the PS5.

Dying Light, a video game that has not only survived half a decade but has thrived. Techland’s fantastic zombie sandbox took everything that was great about their previous effort Dead Island, fine-tuned the parkour and raised the stock price on toilet paper whenever the sun went down and the more dangerous Volatile crawled out from their UV light avoiding holes. With that prime number behind it, Techland is looking to celebrate one again with a fresh update, one that’ll introduce Darryn-mode to the game.
