Marvel’s Avengers may be inspired by the MCU, but it’s taking the franchise in a new direction

Throw in some character design that just looks odd, a focus on the most bankable characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and voice acting that sounds like a case of going through the motions, and it’s unclear what kind of game Marvel’s Avengers wants to be. Fortunately, there’s still plenty of time to make some changes.

There are still those who are willing to get up at the crack of dusk and boot up their console to find him for you. People who’ll risk digital life and limb to let you know if Xur is selling a treasure or rubbish. I just so happen to be one of those people. Maybe you’re stuck at work and can only log in later tonight. In that case: Where is Xur?

One thing you won’t be seeing in Fallen Order? Legions of defeated Stormtroopers lying about the place, looking for lost limbs and swearing revenge on the Jedi who just robbed them of their ability to spit out sick licks on a guitar. While Star Wars films may be filled with dismemberment scenes a’plenty, Cal Kestis will leave his foes in one piece for the duration of the game. Most of the time, that is.

Bethesda wants to change that approach somewhat with Starfield, and remind players that space is filled with all manner of galactic danger before you even set foot on a new world.

E3 2019: Luigi’s Mansion 3 is very simple, but also incredibly delightful

It's part of the reason why sequels to established franchises can feel so fresh, and Luigi's Mansion 3 is no exception. There are small refinements here and there, but so far this sequel looks and feels like more of what made the previous two titles so great, and a perfect starting point for those unfamiliar with it.

E3 needs the entire gaming industry behind it, says Bethesda’s Pete Hines

By Darryn Bonthuys

E3 is still important. It’s still an annual tradition, an event that needs to be kept alive as it creates a buzz that few other conventions can hope to match. In recent years, the show has attempted to grow with the times, opening up its doors and allowing more of the public in so that it can continue to remain relevant. It’s a good start, but more needs to be done.
