Destiny 2 Guardian Games 2021 is going full Power Rangers

By Darryn Bonthuys

It’s time once again, to finally settle the debate over which Destiny 2 class is the best. Will you side with the nimble Hunters who can conjure murder-knives out of thin air and fling them into your face? Will you join your fellow Titans as human tanks that can smash their way through actual paracausal gods from beyond mortal reckoning? Or will you be with me in Warlock club, crying about how Bungie keeps nerfing the space wizards whenever they finally get a cool toy?

If you're planning to swing steel and cut enemies down with surgical precision, then you're going to love how Ghost of Tsushima dips into the Akira Kurosawa school of cinematic samurai action.

Ghost of Tsushima won’t hold back your desire to be a bastard ninja, with a morality meter

By it’s very nature, Ghost of Tsushima is a game about honour. It is a sandbox experience built on the ideas of legacy, pride and facing your opponents in fair combat. Testicles to that, because I’m going to play this game with a Ric Flair rulebook as I utilise every single dirty trick in my arsenal to achieve victory.

A playable Xbox build of StarCraft Ghost has leaked online

By Darryn Bonthuys

StarCraft Ghost exists as one of those vaporware dreams, a game whose mythic status joined the likes of Six Days in Fallujah Ghostwire: Link to the Paranormal. Until a few days ago that is, as StarCraft Ghost breached the realm of the living with an early Xbox build.

Infinity Ward apologises for Modern Warfare’s gargantuan patches

By Geoffrey Tim

If you play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, then you’ll already know that the game’s patches have become unbearable. They’re annoying enough for those on uncapped fibre, but for people with any sort of limited connection, they must be despised. That’s because they’re not just frequent, but often clock in at dozens of Gigabytes. The latest one clocked in PlayStation 4 was 51 GB and a frankly ludicrous 68 GB on PC and Xbox One. That’s fine and well, but there was a 50Gb patch just a few weeks ago.

Another day, another Pokémon article! While Pokémon Sword and Shield may have plenty of new Pokémon who can be levelled up and evolved from there, some Pokémon require a more secretive manner with which to ascend to a higher form. One of those Pokémon is Yamask, a peculiar Ghost-type pocket monster that has a new regional form over in the …

Borderlands 3 has a Destiny Easter egg that came from the moon

By Darryn Bonthuys

There’s no denying that Bungie’s Destiny took plenty of inspiration from Gearbox’s best franchise, albeit in a way that allowed them to put their own spin on the quest for guns, power and refunds. So naturally, a good couple of years after Destiny launched, Borderlands 3 had to make a sly reference to the game which followed in its footsteps.

Destiny 2 is teasing a world “without light”

I’m off to Los Angeles next week to go get some sweet hands-on time with Destiny 2. I know this, because I got an invite in the mail. An invite which came with a big clue as to the narrative setup for Destiny 2, as Bungie is teasing a sequel that welcomes you to a world "without Light".
