Its the end of an era (and possibly early retirement) as Google's two iconic founders step away from the company they built.

Google is having a disappointing time with some of it big products lately and it is now putting another feature to bed as well.

This week, Google’s cloud-based game streaming service launch. And it works. It really, really works. Most of the consumers who’ve bought into stadia and who’ve been able to test it out are impressed with the experience. Games look good, they run well, and many even say that the increased latency is barely perceptible. Unfortunately, for many Stadia Founder’s Edition customers, the launch has been abysmal

Google Stadia is launching next week, and just about everything I’ve heard about the launch period makes me think that the service isn’t quite ready for prime time just yet. We already know that one of its best features will be missing, and that many who pre-ordered won’t get their pre-orders on launch date. We also know that the system has a pretty meagre launch line up.

Google’s now released the list of games that’ll be available for launch, and if I didn’t already think that the Google Stadia was set to be little more than a curiosity, I certainly do now. Stadia will launch next week with just 12 games available for purchase.

It appears Google and its parent company Alphabet may be making a bigger play in the wearables market as reports reveal they are is in talks to buy Fitbit.

Google is making arguably its biggest change to its search algorithm in 21 years introducing machine learning into the mix.
