In a historical match, SK Gaming took on Team Liquid in the finals of the ESL Cologne Major, making it the first time a European team did not feature in the finals of a major tournament. Team Liquid had an amazing run, but SK Gaming proved too strong for the hopefuls.

SK and Luminosity have come to a humble agreement and as of July 1st the Brazilian Major Champions will be playing under a new organization.

Brazilian CS:GO team Luminosity finall grabbed a Major win after coming second in two consecutive tournaments. After pulling off two of the most memorable comebacks in the semi-finals against Team Liquid, Luminosity made quick work of Natus Vincere in the grand finals to secure their spot as Champions and $500,000.
