Nintendo may be the undisputed king of the handheld gaming market, but more than one company over the years have attempted to give the Big N a run for their money. The Wonderswan, PSP and Sega Game Gear are all great examples of Nintendo facing resistance to its solid monopoly. One name absent from that list? With hardware that makes it a heavyweight in the 4K gaming scene, you can bet that all of that fancy new technology comes with a price tag that requires a substantial investment from consumer. Not everyone can afford that kind of setup however, making the Xbox Scorpio very much a luxury good. Luxury. That leaves Microsoft with a more select group to woo for their next mid-gen console, a group of people who don’t have to splash cash on the idiot tax known as the Powerball lottery every weekend in the vain hope that they’ll one day be rich and happy (hi mom!).

Microsoft have revealed their hand, showing off the finalised specifications for the Xbox Project Scorpio. And well, it's certainly the most powerful console to date by a mile.

Crackdown 3 is set to get a lot more information over the next couple of months, coinciding with the news wave surrounding Xbox's Scorpio.
