There used to be a time when Pokémon's star mascot Pikachu was a far more…rounded icon. Chubby cheeks, a big belly and easily confused for a beach ball, Pikachu eventually dropped some weight over the years and took on a more slim profile. Pokeballs to that, we want the original chonker back and Nintendo has clearly listened, because Pokémon Sword and Shield will feature the biggest and heaviest version of the lightning rat yet.

In comparison to the Wii U, the success of the Switch has been nothing short of phenomenal, with the recent release of the Switch Lite only adding more coin to Nintendo’s coffers. The Nintendo Switch Lite is a lovely little bit of kit, but unfortunately, just like its bigger brother, seems to be a prone to a bit of the Joy-con drift. Given that the hardware is fixed and the little controllers can’t be switched out as they can on the regular hardware, that’s more than a tiny bit of a problem.
