Fallout 76 is shaping up to be a massive departure from the RPG adventures you know of the brand, with one report likening it to survival games such as Rust.

Nintendo has started dealing with hackersn in the only way that’s available to them right now; they’re banning Switch hackers from accessing online services.

There’s an adage around social media platforms and their associated apps and service: If you’re not paying for it, then you’re the product. It’s entirely reductive, of course – but it’s the belief that if a website or service is pending its time and resources to give you content without asking for anything in return, then they are probably selling information about you to others to make money, to sell ads or worse – some other nefarious purpose.

Based off of constant feedback from Guardians, developer Bungie detailed some of those upcoming cha-cha-changes as the Crucible becomes “a faster, more dynamic, and more action-packed experience.”

Nintendo Switch has been enjoying an extended period of free online services since launch. But later this year the company is going to flip the switch to its paid offerings.

Activision has won a patent that could allow them to alter matchmaking in online games in an attempt to entice players with microtransaction purchases.

“For a long time we believed that ecommerce was the future of retail, and that eventually this channel would “win” and the others would “die”,” says Yuppiechef co-founder Andrew Smith in a press release adding, in bold, that “We were wrong.”
