If the first Pacific Rim introduced us to the best of the Mark III and IV Jaegers, then the upcoming Pacific Rim: Uprising is taking the development of those might mechs in a new direction with the Mark VI Jaegers. Which is kind of handy, seeing as how all of those ultimate defense systems were wiped out in the first movie.
