We put a man on the moon fifty years ago, so surely our best and brightest minds can come together to solve humanity’s greatest problem next to the impending hellstorm the planet is about to become in a few years: Playing video games without needing to drop all the dimes on fancy console or PC hardware. Google reckons that they’ve got the problem licked.

The Division 2 error codes explained – What to do if you get Mike, Charlie and other error codes

By Darryn Bonthuys

Every now and then, there’s a little coded language that pops up in The Division 2, a barrier to play that must mean something. Something to do with trotting foxes and Zulu time, I’m certain. Many agents died to uncover the origins of these error codes, partly because I’m a terrible logistics support person who kept sending IT soldiers into dens of action that they were woefully unprepared for.

Here’s a look at how customisation works in Team Sonic Racing

By Darryn Bonthuys

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was released back in 2012, and it’s still a damn good game. This year sees a newer version of Sonic hit the tracks, in the form of Team Sonic Racing. SEGA had plenty to show off at SXSW, which may just be one of the weirdest venues ever for video game news…or the cleverest. Well played SEGA, well played.

Prepare to fight and die plenty in this new game overview trailer for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

It’s 2019, load shedding is once again a problem and too many terrible people are doing equally terrible things. I ain’t worried though, because at least I can sit back and bask in the glory that is another FromSoftware game, which happens to be out rather soon. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice looks like a blast and then some, taking FromSoftware’s trademark style of risk over reward and adding a few interesting wrinkles to the formula.

Exploring Washington DC is my favourite part of the The Division 2

By Darryn Bonthuys

My favourite part of The Division 2 so far? Washington DC. Sandbox games aren’t going anywhere for the foreseeable future, but there’s something special about a game that absolutely nails its environment. Having a metropolis filled with character, beauty and a sense of isolation that highlights its design is something special, an idea which The Division 2 simply excels at.

System Shock 3 halfway complete, loses Starbreeze as publisher

By Brad Lang

Starbreeze recently made the announcement that they’ll be stepping away from System Shock 3, currently in development by OtherSide Entertainment. Starbreeze would have published the game, having sold the rights back to the developer earlier this year. No specific reason was stated as to why the two were parting, although it seems safe to assume the blame could be on Starbreeze’s recent financial troubles.

Anthem’s endgame loot drops have been boosted, with more significant changes on the way

By Darryn Bonthuys

Bioware’s decision to make Anthem less fun was baffling enough, and after plenty of moaning from the community that wants the game to be better, the developer has decided to grab a hammer and break the game all over again with “some notable changes to the loot drop rate in specific scenarios”.
