Revealed at Ubisoft Forward after doing a few leaked rounds, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will arrive on January 21 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Once again, you’ll be able to outwit enemies and navigate death traps by using the Prince’s personal cheat code, a magical dagger that can freeze time and even reverse it.
Which is cool and all, but only if that means we get a Two Thrones remake down the line or maybe even a remaster of the 2008 Prince of Persia. What a classic!
The gameplay itself looks to have been another reboot of the series, following the disappointment that was The Forgotten Sands.
A decade later, and the Prince of Persia is finally coming back…as part of a new event within For Hoor. Ubisoft’s superb sword-slinging game will play host to the prince in the Blades of Persia event which transports players to an altered version of the Harbour map.
If I could turn back time to a point where Prince of Persia was allowed to rest in peace…if I could find a way.
Ubisoft has delayed its long-in-development pirate simulator Skull and Bones until the next fiscal year, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t have brand new Ubisoft games to play over the next nine or so months. Between now and March 2020, Ubisoft has four great big AAA releases on the way.
