If you’re headed into Night City, you’re going to need to pack a little bit of extra protection. And by that, I mean a gun. Big guns. Really massive death-dealers, loaded with enough ordinance to give an entire NRA meeting an explosive rush of blood to the head when they gaze upon the arsenal of weapons available to players within Cyberpunk 2077.

One of the very first games announced for the PlayStation 5, Godfall is a loot ‘n shoot experience apart from the fact that your gun is sword-shaped and you have to jab it into an enemy at point-blank range multiple times if you want to take them down. Developed by Counterplay, Godfall showed off a deeper dive into its gameplay last night and just how you’ll be slash-looting your way towards becoming a combat deity. Which apparently makes ample use of haptic feedback to sell you on the path to godhood.

Now I’m not just saying that the PlayStation 4 version will be the best incarnation of Marvel’s Avengers because a chap from Sony forced an ungodly sum of cash into my hands despite my meagre pleas of “hey no please don’t I really don’t want to live in a mansion,” but that’s the honest truth right there. PlayStation 4 (and eventually PS5) owners of Marvel’s Avengers will get a better deal overall, receiving exclusive loot, outfits and much more.

Logitech’s got a new racing piece of kit on the way, the G923. This one apparently has plenty of grunt within its frame, offering a high-definition force feedback system that uses actual game physics and audio in real time to deliver a gritty experience.

Forget about caviar, diamonds or a new Ferrari in the garage. If you really want to be the most annoying humble-braggart on the block, nothing will annoy everyone around you more than a collection of video games that were bought on day one of their launch. Interactive entertainment doesn’t come cheap, and even though the $60 price mark has held firm for many a year now, that number will jump upwards as the next-generation of consoles pop up.

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is coming to Marvel’s Avengers in early 2021, but there’s a (not completely unexpected twist) to the webhead’s appearance: He’ll only be popping up on the PlayStation version of the game.
