For many, the ultimate Rambo hails from the excess of the 1980s action film genre. The mountain of veiny muscles, who ripped Afghanistan apart when he managed to kill the entire Russian army that was terrorising the Middle East nation. Here’s a look at the fellow, whose sixth-scale arms are so ripped that if he flexes them he might just put your eyes out.

The most famous clown of all is without a doubt Pennywise. A terror beyond mortal reckoning, Pennywise is the apex predator of the clown species and perhaps Stephen King’s most famous creation. Immortalised by Tim Curry in the It mini-series originally, he’s had a resurgence of late thanks to a blockbuster film and a sequel which deserves no adjective. Bill Skarsgard put on a hell of a performance as the horror icon, and if you’re not too concerned about being choked to death in your sleep by tiny plastic hands, then you’ll probably want this collectible from Hot Toys:

While I’m still trying to figure out how to accurately cosplay as Mysterio without suffocating to death on all the dry ice trapped within my mom’s fishbowl that I pilfered (REST IN PEACE SERGEANT FLIPPY!), owning a sixth-scale version of the truth-bending illusionist might just be the next best thing. Hot Toys has of course flexed their Marvel license, and they’ll be dropping their own take on the Spider-Man nemesis into stores soon enough.

With the Venom symbiote having gone from host to host over the years, it was only a matter of time before it wound up attached to Deadpool. That’s exactly what happened in Marvels’ Contest of Champions video game a while back, as the gruesome twosome got slapped together to create something unholy. And ripe for merchandising.

Hot Toys has done the impossible: Made the Scarlet Spider look cool

By Darryn Bonthuys

Basically a red onesie with a hoodie on top of it, the Scarlet Spider was budget Spider-Man at its worst during the Clone Saga that everyone wishes that they could forget about. It just didn’t work on the printed page but fast forward a few years later and the costume kind of worked in video game form. Insomniac took the classic edgy idea, added some sweet new textures to it and there you had it: A Scarlet Spider costume which didn’t look like it made out of donated clothing. Hot Toys has taken that idea and run even wilder with it.
