Hot off a weekend that included the neatest of streams from PC Gamer and the Guerrilla Collective, here’s a massive dump of all the game trailers that popped up on that stream and that I didn’t cover because the time zone difference meant that it took place from an ungodly hour.

Dogfight, strike, and fly through combat zones based off an alternate history of Earth. Either over the cold waters of the Bering Strait, attacking tanks in the brutal deserts of the Orient, or diving through the Redwoods to strike targets of opportunity in the Pacific Northwest, across the oceans, above the scarred lands of the world, this war will take you from exotic battlefield to exotic battlefield, all while going up against odds way above your pay grade.

The genre of tactical strategy doesn’t have too many entries within that library, but when it does? It’s well worth taking notice of. Here’s a new contender to the throne that’s coming real soon: Fae Tactics!

Back in 2018, one of the games that caught my attention was Prodeus. With 2016’s DOOM remake proving that something old can once again be new, it was hitting all the right notes for the kind of action game that I was looking for: Unrepentantly violent, vicious and looking like the product of an age where bleeding edge gaming technology …

Between Sony, Nintendo, EA, Microsoft, Ubisoft and Bethesda, the PC Gaming Show tends to get a bit…overlooked every year. It’s a shame, as this event usually rocks up with a ton of new trailers, deep dives and reveals on games from across all walks of gaming life. This year is no different, as PC Gamer’s annual event is looking to go all out with more than two dozen developers bringing their digital wares straight to your eyeballs.

Desperados III is an absolute hoot. The best strategy game of the year, cowboys and chaos never felt this good and this revival is one for the ages. It may be lethally challenging, but its gung-ho strategy is a masterpiece of design that’s accentuated by lovable rogues, lively levels and a dedication to its genre that can easily outdraw any challengers to its throne.

While I’m probably going to leave my PS5 covered with something more attractive (like a 3D-printed Xbox shell just to REALLY piss people off), I’m still looking forward to seeing what it’s capable of over the next few years. Until then, I’m also howling with laughter over the memes that have been spawned since last night.
