I’m a firm believer that with televisions, there’ll always be something better announced just when you buy yours. There’s no point in getting worked up about that though, and there’s a comfort in knowing that what you’ve bought is an excellent piece of hardware that will last you for years to come. LG’s C-series fits that bill perfectly, and for this console gaming generation, having a television that brings out the best in your gaming experience is an absolute must.

The Witcher is on track to be Netflix’s most successful series debut

Netflix’s The Witcher was a lot of fun, wasn’t it? I enjoyed Cavill's stoic Geralt, and didn’t find the twisted timelines especially confusing, though I’m not as fond of the condensed stories and frankly awful dialogue writing. Still enjoyed the heck out of it though – and it seems that many, many others did.

We’re all eagerly waiting for Netflix’s adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher novels to hit, so we can see if the cast and showrunners have managed to deliver a worthwhile adaptation. It’s not too long now; we have just over three weeks to go before we get to see for ourselves. In the meantime, those who’ve had the chance to watch early screeners have started spilling their spoiler-free thoughts on the internet, and the general consensus seems to be that it’s pretty damned good.

Something Strange is coming to HBO Max! Adam Strange that is. Long before Marvel decided to publish adventures starring a certain physician who had been charged with protecting all of reality as the Sorcerer Supreme, DC’s own hero bearing the last name of Strange burst onto the scene with an even quirkier set of adventures.

In an age where people have realised that being able to dictate what they want to watch as opposed to being given scraps by state-owned enterprises, the likes of Showmax and Netflix have risen to fill a streaming need that anyone with a decent online connection can access, whether it be though a phone or a television set. The SABC wants in on that action.
