Even without the presence of the best Whose Line Is It Anyway hostess with the mostess, Ubisoft still rocked their hour of reveals. I like to think that a good press conference should be both entertaining and informative, something that was clearly present today. E3’s worst-kept secret is finally out: There’s a new Assassin’s Creed game on the way. And yes, it very much is set in ancient Egypt. That makes for a new chapter in the series that looks brighter and more radiant in action than recent entries, as Ubisoft showed off their new protagonist in action. Sneaking, killing are back, as is a new tale that’ll chart the story “the first to call themselves the Assassins.”

Star Trek: Bridge Crew's moments of enjoyment come from its goofy antics and riduculous shortcommings rather than its tactical depth or spread of gameplay options.

Far Cry 3 really got the ball rolling with the introduction of antagonists such as Vaas and the stereotypically Souff Effriken Hoyt Volker. Far Cry 4 stepped up its villain game even further with Pagan Min, a charismatic leader whose only gal at the start of the fourth core game was to allow protagonist Ajay Ghale to spread the ashes of his deceased mother across the air currents of Kyrat. Far Cry 5’s lead villain is a bit different. Going by the name of Joseph, he’s a holy man on a quest to spread his gospel, one bullet at a time if necessary.
