According to Ubisoft, storytelling won’t be taking a backseat in favour of a gameplay gimmick, as Watch Dogs Legion will have plenty of narrative meat on its bones.

While Watch Dogs Legion is political in nature, don’t expect Ubisoft to take that baton and toss it towards a predetermined side though. Whatever message you do take from the game, will be based purely on your own thoughts and ideas as Ubisoft sticks to the Swiss border of neutrality.

About as British as can be and maybe even the most political game that Ubisoft has ever had a hand in, Watch Dogs Legion has one nifty trick up its sleeve: An army of hacktivists, ready to join the fight and hungry for a showdown against the shadowy new Albion force that has siezed control of London.

Discovered via a now defunct Amazon UK stuff-up, Watch Dogs Legion will see players take to the streets of London as was rumoured so many months ago, but with an interesting new twist on the hack ‘em up formula. This time, you’re not just controlling a single protagonist but as multiple usually non-playable characters that you recruit to your hacktivist cause.

Is the Watch Dogs franchise dead? Maybe, or maybe it’s merely resting as it bides its time and prepares for a new life on new consoles. That’s the rumour floating around currently as Skullzi TV dug up a trademark listing from Ubisoft for Watch Dogs 3 from the tail end of 2018.

The more things change they more they stay the same however, as E3’s block of press conferences will still remain a popular attraction as a pre-show extravaganza. Ubisoft is sticking to its tried and tested guns once again in 2018, as they’ve date their annual E3 press conference for June 11.
