If you’re looking forward to Borderlands 3, chances are that you’re also dreading the download which will show zero mercy to your Millennial need to want stuff right now. The game looks gorgeous, the world inside it is probably going to be massive and the size of said game is going to match up with the lofty expectations that fans have for this long in development sequel.

However you spin it, big Dave Bautista has a resume that most entertainers would kill for. The hulking bruiser made the king of kings bleed in a climatic Wrestlemania showdown, gave a young Superman a run for his money and helped save the day from galactic threats in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. Now, the man who was simply known as the animal in the WWE (or Bluetista in a return to the ring that wasn’t exactly well received) is about to face his greatest challenge yet: Multiplayer mobs.

August may have been the calm before the Q4 storm, but with a month that included the likes of Astral Chain, Control and Ion Fury, there was no shortage of new material to sink your thumbs into. In many ways, adapting the Blair Witch into a horror video game seems like an almost impossible task. The future is coming, and it kind of looks…grim. In Disintegration, the destiny of humanity has resulted in our species being served a combo of disaster, as game director Marcus Lehto’s return to sci-fi action picks off a good couple of years after overpopulation, famine and the mother of all pandemics has almost succeeded in wiping out our species. The only solution? Putting our juicy bits of grey matter into robotic shells, thus creating an integration between man and machine.

There’s basically a level 99 badass vault bar to clear then when it comes to the precedent set by the previous games, so what will Borderlands 3 offer after launch then? Pretty much the same plus a little extra.
