Video game movies have had it all wrong, something I’ve finally realised. Instead of focusing on big brand games such as Prince of Persia and Double Dragon, they should have been looking at the various products targeted towards kids instead. Games such as Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper. Those are perfect brands with established lore and …

Last week’s Sundance Festival produced a lot of buzz around some films, but I hope you didn’t get too buzzed up, as chances are you won’t be seeing those films for a quite some time. When you think of songstress Lana Del Rey, “creepy” is probably not a word you’d think of next. That may all change after you see this new trailer for Disney’s Maleficent though. There are very, very few films that’ll actually make me venture outside to sit in a damp and stuffy theater that smells like someone had a hobo sex party inside of it. Which is why I love Blu-Ray DVDs. And one film that I missed out on …

It’s not long to go now before the Amazing Spider-Man sequel swings into town, and this time, I hope director Marc Webb gets to tell the story that he wanted to before studio meddling knocked down the first Spidey reboot a couple of pegs. One thing I did love with that film, was the relationship between Peter Parker and Emma …

Every director in Hollywood has a signature style when it comes to making movies. For George Lucas, that would be midgets and plot holes, while Michael Bay has baysplosions and tight camera angles. For Terry Gilliam, that style happens to be creating a world that borders on visual LSD. And buddy, prepare to trip the light fantastic with this trailer …
