It’s been a while since we’ve given away something truly awesome on the site. We’ve also been dabbling with the new(ish!) social mobile messaging client WeChat, and found it to have some pretty sweet features. So we thought we’d team up with them to give you something special. Yes, we’re giving away a PlayStation 3 – so all you PC nuts and Xbox zealots can win a chance at playing great games like The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls – along with a rich, six year library of other exclusives.
By entering, you stand the chance of winning a sexy red 500GB Ultraslim PlayStation 3 (worth R4000!), bundled with a copy of the very first Uncharted game, Drakes Fortune, to get you started on your PlayStation journey. Entry’s pretty damned simple – but it will require that you download the WeChat client for your mobile phone (it’s available for pretty much any modern phone – so nobody’s excluded).
From there, you’ll just have to join the Lazygamers group (search for us!) – and you’re entered! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. There is naturally, a way to get bonus entries, and you can find out those details, as well as more info on the prize here.
Competition closes on May 24 and, as is usual, is only open to residents of South Africa. The winner will be announced on Lazygamer.net and contacted via WeChat.

Yes I do, I wasn’t patient enough to stand in line when patience was handed out. And to have to go through a myriad of screens to get to where you need to be is a bit of a turn of as well.

great competition. It would be interesting if this happened because of some intra corporate cooperation. 24.com which Lazygamer gamer is a part of, is owned by Naspers which has a significant stake in Tencent (approx 30%) which makes WeChat.
